Get set to get paid
Want to get paid for performing your own songs in a
LICENSED TO PLAY venue?
All you have to do is submit your set lists to SOCAN and we’ll do the rest to get you paid. It’s quick and easy to do! Just follow the steps below.
- Log in to the members’ secure section of socan.ca.
- Go to SOCAN Performances & Repertoire, select Unidentified Performances*, then select Concerts with no Set Lists.
- Search the list for any concerts where you believe your music was performed. The easiest way is to enter the name of the performer (you, or your band) and then hit the Search button and follow the instructions.
Follow the few easy steps to provide your set list, and you’ll get paid.
If no search results appear, and you’ve played a show within the past year, go to SOCAN Forms, then select and complete a Notification of Live Music Performance to get paid.
Or, you can always check in with us, for shows you’ve played within the last three years, by calling our Membership Info Centre, toll-free, at 1-866-307-6226 or e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also consult our Frequently Asked Questions page.

* Concerts on the Unidentified Performances list have been filed with SOCAN by Licensed To Play venues, but are missing a set list. Without the set list we’re unable to distribute the funds to those who earned and deserve them.
